Anyone want some ham?

My kids are absolute hams when it comes to pictures. Alex has always been pretty good about posing and listening to the photographer. Jeff was like a baby on crack trying to crawl away every time we put him in a pose. I got such a work out chasing after hime. Alex didn't help much by throwing fake snowballs at him.

Well I guess I should be happy I survived a full year with TWO kids. Thank goodness there is no way I am having any more!

Both Jeff and Alex had their yearly check ups and they are growing just like Guazzo boys.
Alex:
Weight: 45 lbs.
Height: 43 inches (now able to ride most of the rides at Dollywood)

Jeff:
Weight: 23 lbs. 3 oz. (50th percentile)
Height: 31 -3/4 inches (95th percentile)

We are headed to VA for Halloween I hope to post more about that trip when we get back.

Happy Halloween everyone!

KnoxVegas

This weekend we are visiting the "Big City" here in East TN, Knoxville. We went to the zoo yesterday (all day) and had a great time. The boys were well behaved and had a blast seeing elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions, bears, and so much more. This was a REAL zoo unlike the few we have seen to date in other parts of the country (Bergen County NJ & Roanoke VA).

We actually came to KnoxVegas for the first of many I think University of TN games. Tony had planned the trip way back to just take Alex to the game and at the last minute one of my MOMS Club buddies told us her DH was going too with Alex's friend Dominic. So it was great that Alex had a buddy all day to hang with. Jeff and Dominic's little brother and his mom, Michelle, went back to our hotel while the boys were at the UT game. We let the kids play a bit after being trapped in strollers all day at the zoo they were happy to get around themselves. Then we went to dinner, big night out at Applebee's. (Sorry Gabe and Steph, I think I am banning them after that meal our server was an IDIOT). After dinner we came back to the hotel and tried to get the babies to sleep after they were wired on sugar and lack of naps, it was not easy.

The boys came home really late but they said it was a great game after all. They were expecting UT to blow out Air Force but they held strong till the end...UT won by 1 point!

We are off to Dollywood today. Since everyone is so tired it will be a quick trip to the kiddie rides and maybe a splash at the "spray ground". I can't wait till it is Christmas in Dollywood, we missed it last year and plan to get there this year!

Have a great week everyone.

Babies and Boogies

Well we have had another busy month. August is finally OVER! Tony traveling to Tulsa, then all of us to NJ, we just got back from Virginia. I am glad it is over for at least a week or two. We are headed off to football travel next week!

In NJ we were able to meet all of the new babies born and spend some time with the babies born last year! Lots of new cousins lately. Then we went to Virginia to celebrate another new baby on his way in a few weeks.

Alex started school on Aug 15th and came home with a nasty infection and got everyone else sick. Jeffrey somehow avoided the worst of it. He has just been super boogery with teething.

I really need to fit this blog into my schedule some way. I just have a hard time finding the time to write with no interruptions.

Anywhoo! I am planning a birthday party for Jeffrey in October some time. We are still working on the date. I wish all of his relatives could come but he has plenty of friends here to attend. It will be a cute baby party.

I think it is feeding time at the zoo and I gotta go feed the monkeys...Ciao!

Virginia - Aunt Lesley's Birthday Feb 2006

We are wrapping up our trip to Virginia and heading home tomorrow. Alex has had a great time with his cousins like usual. He is still wired up and dancing around and they went home 2 hrs ago.

Friday night when we dropped them off he wanted to stay with them at their house, until of course Uncle Anthony told him it was nightly beating time...he told him to get on line and Alex said "No thank you, maybe tomorrow" and ran out the door.

Aunt Lesley had fun witnessing my sweet baby Jeffrey turn into baby-zilla. He is a master manuipulater. He cries like he is being stabbed to death and the minute you pick him up he just smiles and coos. It has been a long 4 days.

Alex woke up a few times in the night saying he missed his daddy and wanted to go back to TN. I told him that I missed my daddy and mommy and wanted to stay in VA. I am not sure he really gets it but it was a funny conversation.

Grandma Susan and Big Grandma had fun passing Jeffrey back and forth to each other as well. Grandma Shoplock (aka Big Grandma) was Alex's personal chef all weekend. She made him pancakes and eggs every morning from scratch. Christy made an appearance a few times and ran away from us after we told her we were all sick with colds.

We went to see Grandpa Steve and Pam on Saturday. That was the day Jeffrey was best behaved. I think he heard Grandpa gives out birthday cake and ice cream. Of course he couldn't enjoy it this year but Alex had a feast.

Sunday morning we headed for Lesley's birthday breakfast at Charley's Waterfront Cafe (next to Greenfront Furniture). The buffet was delicious. Alex ate 3 plates of french toast, eggs, bacon and 3 helpings of whipped cream. Uncle Chris and Aunt Lesley passed Jeffrey back and forth until he finally pooped! Then he went back to mommy.

Sunday afternoon we went back to Grandma's house and played computer games, played bingo, colored pictures and watched tv. Everyone is home now and we are getting ready to head home. I am tired but had a great time visiting my family.

I will post pictures when we get back. I have a jam packed short week with all the MOMS Club stuff I have to do so I am not sure how soon I will get the new pics online.
